Questions

Can PhotoCraft really replace Photoshop for everyday editing?
For photo retouching, compositing, and graphic design work, yes — the layer stack, masks, and filters cover the most common workflows. Specialised features like Camera RAW processing, 3D layers, and advanced video editing are not available in PhotoCraft.
Will my Photoshop PSD files open correctly?
Many PSD layer types are supported, but complex documents can render differently. Open a copy, compare the result and verify the exported file.
Is PhotoCraft suitable for professional work?
It depends on the workflow. Print pre-press, camera RAW, and colour-managed output still favour Photoshop. Web design, photo retouching, compositing, and most social media work are fully covered.
What happens if I need a feature that is not available?
PhotoCraft is open source. Missing features can be requested via GitHub issues, and the community or core team may implement them. There is no vendor lock-in — your files are standard PSD, PNG, and JPG.
