Everything you need to edit photos

An early-alpha editor with layers, filters and text tools. Save frequently and check your results.

Layers & Masks

Non-destructive editing with full layer stack support — adjustment layers, clipping masks, blend modes, and layer groups.

PSD Support

Open, edit, and export Adobe Photoshop PSD files directly in your browser. Check compatibility and exported results with your own documents.

Privacy First

Your files never leave your device. All processing happens locally in the browser — no uploads, no accounts required to start.

Filters & Adjustments

Adjust brightness and color, apply filters, and combine your edits with selections and layer masks.

Vectors & Text

Draw and edit vector shapes, add styled text with full font controls, and work with SVG imports alongside raster layers.

Open Source

Built in Rust and TypeScript. The core engine is open source — auditable, forkable, and community-driven.

Your photos stay on your device

PhotoCraft runs the editing engine in WebAssembly inside your browser tab. When you open a photo, it is read locally — nothing is sent to a server. You control what leaves your machine.

  • No file uploads during editing
  • No account needed to start

Common questions

Do I need to create an account?
No. You can open the editor immediately. There are no accounts or cloud saves. Save your work to your device before closing.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. PhotoCraft processes images locally in your browser using WebAssembly. Your files never leave your device unless you explicitly export or share them.
Does PhotoCraft support PSD files?
Yes. You can open PSD files with layers, text, and adjustment layers intact. Export back to PSD or to PNG, JPEG, and WebP.
What is the difference between the online editor and the desktop app?
The online editor runs in any modern browser with no installation. The desktop app (built in Rust) offers deeper system integration, faster performance on large files, and offline use.
Is PhotoCraft free?
The manual editor is free. AI services, subscriptions and credits are not available on this site.
Which browsers are supported?
Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari (latest two major versions). The editor requires WebAssembly and WebGL, which all modern browsers support.
